Returning a Wire Transfer

My buddy was going to buy a house with his gf. She wired him money to help start buying the house. He told me she cheated on him and now he doesnt want to wire the money back. What should I tell him? Can he get in trouble with the law? He says he will just say that she gave it to him. I dont think it will work the amount of money is a large sum....What can he do?He is hard headed and im trying to help my best friend out. Any help is good.

He needs to return the money ASAP. Since there are bank records of the transfer she can claim WIRE FRAUD which is a federal charge.

Nothing in life is FREE, well he can try but thats why the prisons are so full today
