    Default Life Estate Interest

My question involves real estate located in the State of: Florida

My husband recently passed away and on our deed he had a life state interest. but the title company told me he was not directly in the title but he had the life state interest. My concern is that he had children from his previous marriage, and I don't know to what extent they have any right on the property.

    Thanks.

    Default Re: Life Estate Interest

When a person with a life estate dies the property automatically goes to the remaindermen on the deed. You will probably have to move.
