Okay, let me first say that I'm an idiot. I know this.
I was driving back to Auburn yesterday from Chattanooga and was stopped in Dalton, Georgia. I received a speeding ticket on I-75. I was going 85 in a 70 MPH zone. Now, the speeds were not written on my ticket, if that matters at all in the long run of this lol - like I can get off on a technicality.
Today... I am back in Auburn. I was given a ticket for going 71 in a 55.
Basically, I'm screwed, right?
I was planning to go to court to get the first one, from Georgia, hopefully taken off as it's my first offense since I was 17. I went to driving school then, got it taken off my record, and it was fine.
I told my parents about the GA ticket and I was good to go, but I cannot tell them about this one. They'd murder me with their bare hands. I planned to go to court alone for the AL ticket, try and get driving school so it would not appear on my record, and pay it off.
Then my plan hit a snag - if I go to court in Georgia, will they see the ticket in Alabama that I have not gone to court over yet? Will they see it on my record, know it's not my only ticket anymore, and not give me the chance to get it off my record?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Lindsay
