Default Credit Card Dispute
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: New York

Allied Interstate spoke to my wife a couple of weeks ago but during this time my debt management was in negotiation with GE Online Services, my wife told the company to speak to me because the account was mine. Allied Interstate never spoke to me but needless to say I receive a letter yesterday dated October 9, 2008 stating that beginning October 18, 2008 that they will be taking $151.00 out of my checking account due to our verbal agreement. GE Online Services is the original debt holder.

I NEVER agreed to anything nor did I ever speak to Allied Interstate. Can they withdraw money from my account without some type of judgment? I never "verbally" agreed to anything nor did I ever speak to anyone from Allied Interstate. Please help.

Default Re: Credit Card Dispute,
You might check with your county court house to see if they might have a record of a judgment against you & when & to whom the summons to court was served.

Can your debt management "agcy." tell you anything - did you talk to them?
