    Default Misdemeanor Larceny

My question involves criminal law for the state of: North Carolina

so about a month ago me and some friends were going to the local wendys to get some food for our drunk asses and we all came up with the great plan of taking some beer from the gas station which is located near the wendys. I was the one who was elected for the task so i went in took a case and got out. on the way home cops pulled us over the whole speal goes down and im convicted of a misdemeanor laceny for only $11.95 worth or beer. my question is what will be some or the prosecutions from this? and would a judge do anything if i discuss to him about me joining the marines?

thank you and hope to hear something soon

You just told us that you were prosecuted for misdemeanor larceny, and were convicted of that offense.

What good is discussion? Go in with signed enlistment papers, and maybe you'll impress the judge. Anything short of that is just talk.

    Not gonna happen

All legal obligations have to be completed before any contract is signed,
a signed contrat before the theft is put on hold until the legal obligation
    are complete

Or not. Let's not confuse a sentence that requires enlistment, or offers a reduced penalty in exchange for enlistment, with the response a judge might have to the fact that a defendant has enlisted.
