My question involves paternity law for the State of: Ohio

My husbands ex wife has always told my husband that there daughter was not his which nobody ever beleived because she looked just like him. Anyway Ex decided she wanted to have a DNA swab of daughter and this other guy without my knowledge.. My stepdaughter came over and told her dad and I that her mom put a big cotton swab in her mouth.. The poor child was told that it was for softball that she didn't even want to do.
Ex wife finally told my hubby and also told him that he is the father..

So my question is is it illegal for the ex to have this dna done without my husband's knowledge?????

Your knowledge is not needed, your a legal stranger to this child.
Big cotton swab? Its in the form of a large qtip. Children tend to exaggerate.

You don't know if there was a court order for the DNA testing.
The DNA testing didn't involve your husband (which consent would be needed). The test also doesn't prove your husband IS the father, only that the other guy isnt.
