Default Filing for Custody Without a Lawyer

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: NC

Is it possible to file for custody without a lawyer? and what kind of papers would I have to file with the clerk of court?

Call your local court clerk or domestic relations office. They should be able to either send you the Complaint for Custody forms or can direct you on where to find them. You don't absolutely NEED a lawyer in a custody case. Most of it you rarely need a lawyer. But it is good to have one to keep you from making mistakes.
