Default Speeding and Reckless Driving in New Jersey With New York License

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: New Jersey

I got 2 tickets in NJ Turnpike for speeding doing 104mph over a 65mph zone.

State Trooper clocked me. It was in Mansfield, NJ

1 ticket for speeding and 1 for wreckless driving

    i have a court date.

i called NYS DMV inquired bout pointing system. They said they dont add points on out of state violation.

So my question is, should i hire a lawyer?

    is it worth it?

    what should i do?

I would show for court and take cash. Try to get the reckless dropped and plead guilty to the speeding. An attorney will probably run you 500 and he may be able to do a better job and get the fine reduced.

It's at least worth talking to an attorney for a consultation to see if you can mount a good defense, or if he can perhaps negotiate a better deal than you think you can get on your own. Only an actual attorney familiar with the laws at hand can give you the legal advice based on the facts as they are.

They will have more information than we will, so they're in a far better position to speak about it your case.

    Good luck.
