Husband Had Our Son's School Records Transfered

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Missouri
My husband, and I resently seperated. I was tired of his emotional and physical abuse, and the fact he wouldn't find a job, and stay with it. When he left, he took my 6 year old son after I begged him not to.
My son had been gone for four days. I called the school to make sure he was there. On the fourth day of him being gone, I call again. The secretary informed me that my husband had my son's school record's transferred to another town. I'm the parent who signed all my sons school records. They didn't even notify me of anything. I'm filing for a divorce next week, I'm wondering if this is legal? Should I have been notified? Was it legal for the transfer to be made without my consent? Thank you!

As long as your husband is the legal father, yes, what was done was legal.
