Default Mother Moving Out of State While Father Stays Here

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Utah/oregon

My 16 year old daughter has a 1 month old baby and we are going to be moving from Utah to Oregon for my husbands job. My daugther and granddaughter are going with us.
Is there anything we need to do legally before we go to protect my daughter and grand daughter? We want to be able to move without any problems. The father is on the birth cert. He has seen his daughter only twice, once in the hospital and then 2 weeks ago. He has not given any financial support. He promises but never follows through.

    Any help would be nice.

You don't have any issues that I can see.

The individual who knocked up a 16 year old does not get to tell her whole family where they can live.

We just weren't sure and wanted to make sure all was good there.
