Unhappy Losing My Patience
I was married and trying to get a divorce when i got involved with my boyfriend and became pregnant. My husband had moved to Shreveport, LA. Me and my boyfriend broke up and i got back with my husband. We were never divorced. i had the baby and put my husbands name on the birth certificate because i didnt know what else to do and was practically forced by my husband. We stayed together for 3 more years and he left me in august of 2006. I then got intouch with my former boyfriend and father of the child. I wanted him and his family to have a part in her life. she calls him daddy and she is very close to him. Me and my husband were divorced in feburary of 2007. I am now involved with my former boyfriend and father of the child. we are very serious and plan to marry. he wants to legally be named father of the child, but my ex-husband refuses...he now resides in shreveport, la and has no contact with her unless he flies down for visitation with our other two children. how do i get this taken care of ?

He needs to pursue a paternity claim through the Louisiana Department of Social Services and the courts.
