Default Paternity Statute of Limitations in Texas
My question involves paternity law for the State of: TEXAS

To keep it short...i slept w/ two guys in the same week and got pregnant...i informed both guys...one i never heard from again and the other has convinced himself that there is no way that he can be the father. i have no desire to know who the father is b/c neither want to be involved now, but i want to make sure that they can't change their mind. i was told by someone that in Texas 2 years after the child is born, if the potential father has made no form of contact at all or effort to determine paternity, that the he no longer has parental rights to the child ...is this correct?

Haven't heard that story. Do you want support from the rightful dad? You can still file paternity suits against both and let the court determine who is the father, and get an order for support. Your child has a right to it.
