    Default Minimum Monthly Payment Amount

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of Indiana. Do states have their own monthly minimum repayment amounts? I remember hearing from a non-attorney that you only have to pay $20 per month, but I wanted to ensure that this is the case. If this isn't the case, how much wiggle room do I have when the billing office gives me a monthly amount I can pay?

    Thanks.

Default Re: Minimum Monthly Payment Amount

There is no minimum or maximum amount. You have to pay whatever the creditor requires/will accept as a monthly payment. You can ask if they will take a smaller amt. but they don't have to.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
