    Default Domestic Violence

My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida

My x is being charged with Domestic Violence Assault and Battery. What happens. Him and his new wife's 16 year old daughter got into it and he was arrested. Is there a good chance that he will serve time, if so how long. I am worried because I have two children with him and he pays child support. If he goes to jail I am screwed. Should I go to court and pleded that I need him working.

That's not going to keep him from being punished for beating up a 16 year-old girl.

Tell him to get an attorney - we can't make any predictions as to if or whether he'll land in jail, or how much time, if any, he would serve.
