Default Least Expensive Way to Transfer Deed

My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas
My grandfather died earlier this year. Before he died he gave his house to my mother. She still hasn't recorded the deed. She want to give the house to me. What do we do next? Do we go to a lawyer or to a title company? Would it be illegal for me to get a loan to "buy" the house from her in the amount of all the expenses that are going to be incurred in the process, and then have her pay these expenses with the money from the loan. Or is there an easier way to do this? The house is only worth around 50k.

If the deed was not drawn by an attorney, then you need to go to one and have him be sure it is valid. If it is valid, your mother can record the deed and then deed the house to you. You can get a loan for any purpose if you can find a bank that is still making loans.
