Lost Car Title, Later Reported Stolen

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: michigan lost the car title went to register it for the new year and was told there was a flash on it said stolen in south carolnia state will not let me register even though i c
have all the peper work including a copy of the title police have varified the vin # done everything the stste asked me to do nobody seem's to have any answer's just keep sending me on a wild goose chase can somebody please help thank's

Maybe you "bought" a stolen car.

You lost the car title, and have only a photocopy? You need to track down your "seller" to find out what's going on.
