Default Being Sued by Credit Card company.
I received a summons that I'm being sued on Dec. 7 and I need to know what to file with the court. I can't declare bankruptcy again for another 5 years. I have no job and I am disabled. I have no income currently. I contacted the lawfirm that is sueing me and they said that the only way to stop the lawsuit was to pay at least 50% now and make payment arrangements for the rest. I can't pay. I want to answer the summons, but I don't know what forms to file with the court. I only thing of value that I own is my car and I don't want them to take that from me. Please tell me what to do.

Thank you
Nacokie

Default Answering a Complaint
You should take a look at the materials offered by the California Courts self-help center. You may also wish to review these resources from the ABA.
