Nephew's Mother Gone on Drugs - What Can I Do

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Arizona

My 14 year old nephew's mother is an alcoholic/drug addict; she is living in the desert somewhere. Her son has lived with his grandparents for 1 year. My wife and I live in Nevada, and we want him to come live with us. Everyone involved would like this too. The mother most likely would not put up a fight either, and his father is unknown. What options do we have, and is there any financial assistance we can receive.

For this, you really should get a consult with a local attorney. If the mother is willing to go to court and grant guardianship it should be fairly eay, but you still need to consult with an attorney.

An attorney will also be able to tell you if you can recieve any financial assistance. However, if assistance is recieved the mother (and father if located) will be court ordered to pay CS.
