Question Individual Just Wants to Pay for My Address

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: PA

Someone has approached me asking to pay rent for an extra room in my apartment. This person would require a signed agreement for rental of the room. This person does not want to actually live in the apartment, but just use to address to send her child to a better school.

Can this person get in trouble for doing this? If so, can I also get in trouble for doing this? The room would remain vacant, and would be available to her as needed, so I feel like my end of the bargain is held up. She is the one not actually living there.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Sounds like this person is attempting some sort of fraud. Do you want to be part of that?

Yes, she can get in trouble for that. I'm not sure if you can or not, but my guess would be...probably.
