Unhappy On Birth Certificate After Ex Fails to Comply With Test
My question involves paternity law for the State of: Ohio
My husband was divorced after returning from 2 years in Guam with no leave and no congical visits with his then wife who (when he returned) was then 2 months pregnant by another man. In the divorce the ex named the bio father and the judge ordered a paternity test done as soon as the baby was born.
The ex never complied.
After the baby was born my husband and I tried to go to lawyers in WA and in CA where we were living and tried to get the paterinty test enforced. We were told since we were not the mother we could not take any steps to make sure that the court order was enforced.
4 days ago on our 10th anniversary the ex gets in touch with my husband and informs him that when the baby was she born stated that my husband was the father and is on the birth cert. and that he is the father of her 10 year old daughter.
Is there anything we can do to save ourselves she wants 10 years of child support for a child that is in absolutly no way related to my husband.

Default Re: On Birth Cert After Ex Fails to Comply W/Test
She's not going to get 10 years of back support.

She's also not going to get dime one if there is no paternity test.

Get a lawyer and do it now.
