My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: New York.
I was pulled over and accused of going through a red light. I told the P.O. that I did not. He pulled over a second at the same time. It was a turning light and was green. The P.O. was very irate from the start stating I am not going to argue with you. Very intimidating. Anyway all of sudden he proposes that if I do not argue that he will only give a talking on cell phone summons. I agree. The other driver gets the same. The P.O. states it's only $90 and no points. Oh lucky me, falsely accused of one thing and givin a ticket for another. Here is another interesting fact aside from I was not on the phone and will have phone records to prove my car has bluetooth handsfree voice activation. Also the P.O. did not enter his Officer ID # on the citation. Do I have a case? Is the P.O. guilty of a false report? Will the judge automatically take the P.O.'s side even with the cell phone bills? Is New York that desparate for cash?
