Default An 18 Year Old Guy with 16 Year Old Girlfriend, Worried About Any Issues Law May Have
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California

Okay, so this isn't a major problem, but I am a bit worried about possible problems the law may have with this relationship. Let me outline it a little: Her parents are fine with it, as are mine (although I technically don't need my parents' permission, it is good to have their blessing). My girlfriend and I are not involved in sexual activity with eachother and don't plan to (both believe that sex should not be done pre-maritally).

So, to the extent of my knowledge, there is nothing wrong with this relationship, but I'm not able to find anything on this particular question I'm curious about. While the penal code does prohibit sexual activity, is it still okay for kissing/hugging and that sort of thing to occur? I'd just like to make sure this is okay.

You're fine.

You're not going to get arrested for holding hands, giving her a snuggle, or even giving her a kiss.

Should it come to pass that her parents no longer approve of your relationship and demand you cease contact, however, all contact must cease.
