Default False Pretense Felony Charges
My question involves criminal law for the state of:Mississippi. When I was 17 I wrote 2 checks for down payments of cars, one for 3,000 and the next for 12,000.Both were no good, but i got charged as a adult,I always thought checks were like credit cards so i thought they would be covered, dumb I know, and both car dealerships are pressing false pretense charges on me,the full total on first car was 16,000 and the other 12,000,but they happend within a few months of each other. Both while I was under 18,my attorney is working on getting them combined into one,and I was wondering what happends if he does get them combined?Does that help me?And what are the chances I will be doing state pen time since I have 2 felonys?Any help please. Will I get probation? How much jail time?

You need to ask your lawyer. He knows the details of your case, can talk to the prosecutor, knows local court policies.... Our answers are much less likely to be accurate.

You've obviously never tried to charge 3 grand over your limit on a credit card. I'd think of something else.
