My question involves a child custody case from the State of: California
The court ordered that all childcare costs be split equally between me and the ex. I rarely use work related childcare, and paid in cash. The judge did not go into a canceled check as proof bit. I did what she and I always did in the past, paid in cash. I submitted the list, which spanned over three months, included all the dates, times and amounts. This should be said, she has an attorney, I do not. We have gone back and forth for two months now, she refuses to pay simply because I paid in cash and do not have a canceled check. I have given both her and her attorney the names, contact info and SIGNATURES of the people who have provided the care as verifiable proof.Which is what they asked for to start. Still refuses!
How can I get reimbursed for this cash? I am not entitled to it? I have not needed care over the summer so I don't have the check route to go yet, but plan to.
Anyone know of a case file that describes cash payments for childcare and what is considered acceptable proof of that payment?
