Default Changing a child's last name to the correct father's
I have a 2 1/2 year old who was born in Texas. I was dating the guy i persumed to be the father but had cheated on him before I knew i was pregnant and it turns out the guy i cheated with is the father. We (me and the persumed father) had paternity test done to determine he was not the father but his name is on the birth certificate. My child's actual father whom i am now married to wants his name on the birth certificate and wants her to have his last name. How do i go about getting the persumed father's off and getting the actual father's on?

Default Paternity Issues
You need to get a court decree recognizing the proper paternity, and then file an "Application for New Birth Certificate Based on Parentage" with the Texas Department of Health.
