paternity
I live in Florida, but what i know about this type of situation is as long as he signs the birth certificate he is the dad. Now when child support is ordered it is based on his income. By law they will put HER down for minimum wage if she is not working. Now he has time to contest that the child is not his, in your state i don't know what the statue of limitations are. But either way, (1)he must sign birth certificate, OR (2) marry her, OR (3) or have paternity test that proves he is the father-for him to be obligated to pay anything!! Without this, she has no grounds for support. It depends on their relationship now, and what he is willing to do.
