Effect of a Marijuana Possession Conviction

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Jersey

Curious as to whether probation is common for first time pot convictions in nj for les than 50 g's, or whether a fine and possible loss of license is mainly what one should be worried about. I understand first time offenders often encounter probation by way of the conditional discharge. However, that is part of that plea. So again, would probation be likely or just possible for such a conviction if a conditional discharge is either not available or has been utilized before?
