Criminal Charges in Spain
Sorry if im posting this in the wrong section. 6 Weeks ago myself and 5 friends were arrested in magaluf, Spain and initially not told on what charge. We were then taken to a police station and beat up by the local police and left in a cell with no food or water for 24 hours. During this time we were forced to sign a form which they then filled in which they put we did not want medical assistance or a lawyer. (Later we found out they had stole our wallets with more than 500 euros in)
The next day we were took to the guardia civil where we were told we had been charged with breach of the peace and assaulting a police officer. Although we may have been loud in a public area we did not assault a police officer in any way shape or form.
We were then took before a judge who took a statement from us and made us see a doctor. After this we were told we were fined 200 euros for breach of the peace but we were now released. We then signed some forms with our lawyer present and were allowed to leave. The judge or our lawyer never mentioned us being out on bail or if we were going to have to come back to magaluf and didnt take an address of us to contact us if need be.
So i was just wondering if that is the end of it now? and if anyone could shed any light on the subject?
thanks for your help
