    Default Grandparents Won Visitation

My question involves grandparents rights in the State of: new york
i need to know what can be done to make the grandparents lose there visitation with my children. these people lied to the court about how frequently they saw my kids and won based on lies. they havent seen my children in over a year now and they have terrified my children by constently harassing them and me. my kids are begging me not to make them go there and it is breaking my heart that a court would subject them to this. if me and my family plan a vacation or decide to move, we now will have to "ask for permission" from these horribal people and if they still want their "day" we cant participate in whatever it is we would like to do for that day. im a very competent parent and these are my children, ive always been able to plan fun family things for me and my family... now we are forced to put our family plans and our lives aside so they can continue their controlling ways by using my children and the court system. they think it is helarious that they now hv the power to control me by using my kids.. please help me my kids are very scared. what can i do???

It isn't often that the courts grant visitation to grandparents.

Where was your lawyer in all this? If you didn't have one, it's time to get one and fight for your rights.

New York is very gpv friendly. They hide behind the "child's best interests". Where in NY are you? I live in NY too and had this happen to me. If you aren't comfortable posting the area, feel free to PM me.

I will correct one other thing. A grandparent will never be able to stop you from moving anywhere whether they have visitation or not. Whoever told you that was incorrect.

Are you married? Are these your parents, or your in-laws? What's the other parent's position on grandparent visitation?
