Unhappy I Am Not His Father
My question involves paternity law for the State of: New York

I was asking my ex-wife to leave our 7 year old son for a whole year. She got really mad and in the heat of the argument she told me.."You will never has his custody because he is not your son..." I was in shock and that same day I went to have a paternity test and she was right. I am not interested in keeping this relationship but Is not it to late? Will the court make me keep paying and force me as the "father" just because it has been almost 8 years even though she knew and make me believe a lie all this years?

The sins of the mother should not be placed on the son.

Do what is right.
