Default My Girlfriend Is a Ward of the Court
My question involves child support in the State of: Michigan

Hi, I'm not sure if this is in the right topic but..

I'll start by saying my girlfriend is a ward of the court. Now, she had ran away from her home in Michigan to stay in Florida. Her family mistreated her and so does her caseworker and they kicked her out and called her as a run away so she came to Florida.

They came to Florida, got her, put her in JDC, and flew her back a week later. They placed her in a program where she is in a house with other girls and she was supposed to be able to get an apartment if she finished her work for school and got a steady job.

We wrote letters and had several professional people and other adults support to request consent for marriage. She handed the letters to her case worker and she started telling her she wont be allowed and is a piece of shit and began to downtalk her like usual.

Now, her other side of her family is wealthy and nice and she requested to be able to live with them as they said she could. Her case worker said no, denied her to visit her grandmother dying of cancer, she would've been able to visit 5 days out of the month and go to church with her on sundays.
They will not let her do anything. They treat her horribly. They will no longer pay for her therapist.

She has been there for about a month now and when she had got there she told them she does not eat meat, so the cook went out and bought all red meat products. She has barely been eating, and going insane. I want to help and I'm well aware there isn't much I can do. But is there anything she can do?

I can't bear seeing her like this.

I told her to ask for a different case worker but her case workers supervisor does not like her either and she is friends with her present CW.

So right now I'm sure they will not let us marry, we thought of getting her pregnant... as we both want kids now anyhow, but I dont know if that would help. She isn't allowed to move out till May(when shes 18) and no one can visit her.

Is there anything she or I or anyone can do?

Also, she keeps talking about running away and if she did, I wouldn't hesitate to be with her. But I am 18, would I have consequences if we were found?

I know we could manage on our own till May, but I am concerned about being found and what would happen to her and I.
