Statute of Limitations on a Criminal Judgement

My question involves judgment recovery in the State of: WI

Hello,

Back in 2002 I had a judgement for approximately $4,400 issued against me as a result of a criminal charge. It was turned into a civil judgment.

I haven't heard from anyone involved with the debt since then. My lawyer told me I will probably not hear from them for a very long time, unless I want to buy a house. I will supposedly have to pay it in full to get a title or something for a home (which won't be happening anytime this decade.)

I was just curious as to when, from the moment the judgment was entered, the statue of limitations runs out. That is providing they don't renew. Thanks for any input.
