Wrong Date on a Ticket

I got a ticket on 7-31-08, It says: I promise to appear 7-24-08.
Is this is a typo? Or did I agree to go to court 100 years from now in 2108?
Ok, I am a “slime bag” trying to get out of trouble… do I stand a chance?

It's doubtful your argument would get you anywhere.
Contact the court and confirm your court date, which is most likely for this month.
I'm not a lawyer, but I play a researcher on the internet!

It's likely that it says 9-24-08, but the 9 looks like a 7.

I looked at the ticket closer and you are correct It now appears to be a 9 and not a 7 thanks for the tip...
