My question involves criminal law for the state of: Fl. I took a request signed by 10% of our community calling for a special meeting. It was a board meeting I took it to. Well as I was walking toward the door The president walked up and I explained what I had and he said no he would not take it and as he started to walk away I said the bylaws require it to be given to the presdient and he turned and threw his shoulders up and got right in my face yelling and sticking his finger in my face. I took a 1/2 step back against a 2 foot wall and threw my hands up to stop his advance and consiquently his glasses got knocked off. The only 2 witness were his carpool friends. I picked up his glasses and handed them to him and he said 'if I can behave I can come into the meeting and if not he would call the sheriff' and I replied hey you came at me' and I left. He supposedly called the sheriff that night but didn't file a complaint for charges for 2 weeks. I am 48 and no criminal history what so ever. If his friends lie by make it a offenceve attack instead of a defensive reaction and its my word against the 3 of them what would a first time offender like myself get. I know the statute says 1 yr and up to 1k. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I do have a attorney and a sheriff came by and asked for a voulnteer statement so I wrote a detailed one and included a picture of the site showing I could not back away and simply threw up my hands in self defence. Thank you for taking the time to answer and I will be around all weekend if someone has a question. Oh the request for a special meeting was because I added a $5 donation in my dews chwck for $660 dollars and they are saying hey thats for the donation and you still owe! I know it sounds utterly redicious but thats the way these people are. They are doing the same thing to a couple others in the community also.

I do have a attorney
You need to be addressing ALL of your questions to him and listening carefully to what he tells you to do.

It's what you're paying him for, let him do his job.
