Default What I Found
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Maryland

So you come home from work to find a 18 year old boy in your house with your daughter. You beat him up a little. send him on his way. He tries to come back, so you stand in the front of your house with a rifle. Not pointing it at him, but telling him again to leave. Now what going to happen ?? You mean I'm going to spend time for this ? What do you think ?

Did the police come yet? How many years shy of 18 is your daughter?

I think you had no right to "beat" anyone up, not even a "little" in this situation.

You should have contacted the police, filed a report and let the police deal with this.

I don't believe anyone has the right to put their hands on another person unless defending themselves or another from serious physical harm.

Now you may end up in court on what could be a couple of different charges. You need to contact an atty as soon as possible to see what you can do to remedy your actions as well as prevent this person from returning to your home again if that is what you wish.
