Default Guilty By Association
I am interested in knowing if there is a new Texas law where a person can be found "guilty by association?" I have a friend, who's husband forged checks on her parents about 2 years ago. He was found guilty and served about a year in prison. His (now) wife has been to court and found "guilty by association" and was told that she will serve 9 months. I just don't see how you can be proven guilty by association and would like to know if there is a law stating such! Seems ridiculous to me - please help me out and inform an otherwise legal illiterate!

I am not sure that you have a full understanding of the charge.
