I have been ticketed for doing 75 in a 70 mile zone. The officer said I was doing a much higher 86 when I was stopped. Should I still contest the ticket considering that I have already been cut some slack?

The officer put down a note with a circled 86. If I contest could I be penalized for the higher speed?
