Two Speeding Tickets in Bellevue,Washington

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington

During the month of July 2008 I've recieved two speeding tickets

1) Going 70 mph on I-90 freeway near eastgate

2) Going 43mph in a 25mph zone near Lake Sammamish

I'm 22 have been driving for four years with no offenses, accidents, anything prior to these two tickets. Currently on the good student discount for my family insurance also.

For the first ticket I've requested a mitigation hearing and will do the same for both as a means to reduce my fine.

Is there any possibility to get one of the tickets deferred? This has been a very bad month for me as I've never broke the law before til now. How should I approach this? I have yet to send in my second ticket as I just got it earlier this afternoon. Is it possible to do community service or something a means to redeem myself. I really hope not to have both tickets on my record.

If you've already requested a mitigation hearing on your first ticket, go ahead with that -- it usually results in a 50% reduction in the fine. You could then also mitigate the second and ask for a deferral. That will, at least, keep the second one off your record -- assuming you don't get caught again for at least a year (if you do, you'll have THREE tickets on your record and you'll be very lucky if your insurance doesn't get cancelled).

Since you haven't provided any information from which we could formulate a possible defense for either ticket, I'm afraid that's the best you can hope for.
