Only thing I can think of is Risk Management. What kind of case is this? What court?

From what you say, it's a case code identifying the type of case involved. I can't find a list explaining California's case codes, but the clerk of the court may be able to provide you with one or at least with an explanation of the "RM" code.

well he's got three cases open. One I know is the charges he's facing, one I think is a probation violation, and I have no idea what the third would be. But one of them has RM at the end of it. What is Risk Managment?

"Risk management". It's irrelevant to this discussion.

In PACER for California Southern District, under Reports > Criminal Reports > Criminal Cases, there's a list of case flags and one is Remand, but I'm afraid to search for remanded cases to check the case numbers because I don't know how many I'll get and be charged for.
