My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: california
ok if anyone can help i would appreciate it:
november 1 i started a new job and every may we go to laughlin. i let my employer know in december in january and in march just reminders that i was going to need may 2 ( friday ) and may 5 ( monday ) off ( i usually get weekends off ). he said that was fine it was all verbal ( i know it should of been in writting ). so he called me into his office in april to talk about the upcoming job which is out of state we scheduled the job so i can be back may 1 ( thursday ) so i can leave may 2 ( friday ) i said no problem. so may 1 comes around and we still werent done with the job so I decided to stay a couple of days longer until saturday may 3 to help the other technician out with the harder things left to do. the other technician said he would be ok if i left. so i flew home saturday night. sunday comes around may 4 and the other technician told me that the company called him and asked where i was and the other technician said i left already and that he " other technician " needed help. so the company was pissed off. monday may 5 comes around ( i already have that day off ) and im surfing craigslist and the company is looking for another technician already ( to replace me ) so wednesday comes and the manager calls me into his office after an hour of disscusion he said he has to let me go for abandaning the job even though we scheduled for me to go home last friday and i stayed 2 days longer. so anyways unemployment go denied and i have an appeal in 2 weeks. SHOULD I ATTEND AND WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ODDS ARE IN GETTING IT OVERTURNED? thanks and sorry its so long. there is more to the story in details but not needed right now thanks.
