My question involves grandparents rights in the State of: Illinois

What are grandparents rights in il? In this case it is paternal grandparents. Father has never seen child. Father has no interest in being involved in child's life. In order to avoid confusion for child mom thinks it is best for grandparents not to be involved until bio dad decides to be involved. Grandparents are very dramatic and mom feels they would cause more harm than good for child.

In other words, Mom does not have to allow them visitation if she feels it would be upsetting to the child's sense of order. The courts don't care how dramatic Grammy gets about it - and the courts have seen many a Grammy get awfully dramatic. It won't hold any water.
