Default Court Proceedings
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arkansas.

Does the victim of a battery have to be at all the court appearances of the accused during the process of the proceedings?

Default Re: Court Proceedings
Not unless they receive a subpoena ordering them to appear. All other aspects are handled by the prosecutor's office on the victim's behalf.

Victims may also be invited to make a victim impact statement to the court prior to sentencing, but this isn't mandatory (it just lets the victim have time to tell the court how the incident impacted them before sentence is passed on the defendant).
