My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Florida
I am 2 months shy of my 18th birthday and I am trying to prepare for my future. I had a bank account with my mother and she overdrew my account almost $200.
I went to another bank to get an account that my mother wouldnt know about and they informed me of how bad my credit was because of the other bank issue (that has been resolved). I'm 17 and my mother destroyed my credit. I got the account because the manager trusted me enough to override the credit warning. It was completely legal to have an account without a parent cosigner at that bank.
So I currently have a checking and savings account with that bank and I have been hiding the bank info i received so that my mom doesnt know about the account so that she doesnt empty it all out and say i owe her money.
Tonight she found my checks and stole 30 of them. I put stop payments on them so that she cant forge my signature and steal money from me.
What are my rights as a minor?
Is it okay that she destroyed my credit by having my name on an account she used?
Also, she steals my passwords to my email accounts and changes them so that I cannot go on them. I use my email for alot of things and I cant do anything with it.
Do I have any rights pertaining to this?

If your mother tries to use any of the checks from your new account, take the proof to the DA's office. Since your mother is not on the new account, she has no right to write any checks on that account.
On your 18th birthday you should move out.
As for destroying your credit, have you though about taking her to small claims court in a few months?
