Default Are There Laws Against Dating?
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California

My Boy friend is two years and three months my senior (i am 16). My parents had, at first given consent for the two of us to date, however they have changed there minds recently and my mother has threatened the both of us that she would take legal action if we so much as contact one another. We are not nor have we ever participated in unlawful sex nor do either one of us feel threatened by the other.
My question is, quite frankly, what kind of legal action can she take? If a restraining order can be made by my parents does that mean that i am force to comply because i am a minor? Is there a law against dating a minor when sextual intercourse in not inherent in the relationship? If my mother were to take legal action what are my options?

If your mother takes legal action, your only option is to comply to what she says.

She can put a restraining order out, meaning he can have no contact with you and you shouldn't contact him as he would get in trouble.

You listen to what you Mom says until you're old enough to move out there is no Judge in any state that will override what she says.
