"Police chief quits as firearms instructor

Riverdale Police Chief Dave Hansen, who accidentally shot himself while teaching a concealed weapon-permit course in May, has resigned as a firearms instructor.
Hansen "voluntarily surrendered" his teaching credentials before the Bureau of Criminal Identification weapons review board took up the issue of his competency as an instructor this week, Rep. Curtis Oda, R-Clearfield, said Tuesday.

Oda asked the agency for an investigation into Han sen's ability as a firearms instructor after the veteran police officer shot himself in the ankle May 3 while teaching a concealed weapon-permit course inside a classroom.
The incident landed Hansen in the hospital and drew

Oda said Hansen violated "several sacred safety rules" by firing a loaded gun inside a classroom. "This is not an issue of embarrassment," Oda said of Hansen's accidental shooting in the classroom. "We need to have a precedent to discipline instructors in the future."
Hansen, who recently underwent another leg surgery as a result of the shooting injury, was not at work Tuesday and could not be reached for comment.

That guy is far more a hero than anyone that has died in any war. He should be given his own state and every medal/ribbon there is.

I'm a firm believer in citizens rights to defend themselves against police oppression. If somebody busted in my house, badge or no badge, they will be met with lethal force. So yes, I believe the jury made the right decision.

I have often question your methods, but I'm no fan of blatant civil rights violations. Corrupt law enforcement officials need to atone for their crimes against the citizens.

Give me what license? NJ doesn't have a Hardship license so the drunken losers like you cant get a DUIs and still goto work. I have zero points on my license but thanks for asking. I also already said I'm well off I haven't had to work a day in my life yet...the military was just to say "I did it" kind of thing. I know it sucks that you have to struggle making pay check to paycheck but don't take it out on those that don't have those problems. What is with you and the CCW in 30 states things, are you that ****ing stupid? There are two states that give NON RESIDENTS a CCW and with both of them combined it comes to 30 states total that honor the CCWS from the two non residents. It was even posted by another member before. They aren't that hard to get.

And yes I do sleep with my shotgun on my back...and a .45 in my side hostler, but again thanks for asking. Also no I enjoy sleeping like that, just waiting for the second some idiot breaks in...warning shots are for losers, a shotgun pointblank in the face is the only way to handle unwanted people in your house.

while in the process of being out and getting things worked out back in my home state of NJ I had got a speeding ticket of 84 in a 65..I was rushing someone to the hospital the cop cut me a break and at the time I remembered it was only 20+ over the limit I had to worry about with NC. I just paid the ticket and didnt worry about it...NC got the ticket a few months later and suspended my lic as they changed it to 15+ over the limit. The suspension ended as it was only 30 days and now i want to change it into a NJ license but worried over a few things. How does applying to another state with a suspended but able to be reinstatement license work?

What if I just show them the license and say my NJ license (never had) has never been suspended...the NC license expires 2013..will they run a check in the system to pull its status? Im not trying to do anything illegal but at the same time I need a license for work and cannot afford to be without one for much longer.
