    Unhappy Unknowingly Committed Adultery

My question involves defamation in South Africa. I was dating a guy who was separated and going through a divorce. His wife started the proceedings and gave him papers (from lawyers) to sign which he did. She then supposedly filed them, and after a period of time...she told him that they were divorced. After about three months...saw her dating someone else. In the meantime, said guy and i moved in together. After another month or so, the cow broke up with her then boyfriend, and maliciously told my boyfriend that they were still married... I was devastated when i found out and cried for weeks. You see, i am a Christian, and it is against my religion to sleep with, and move in with another man, especially a married one! i have unbeknowedly committed adultery, which is a very serious moral issue for me. all becuase she led us to believe that she had filed the papers. The mental anguish has been horrible and about a week ago i ended up in hospital because of a stomach ulcer. Can anyone please tell me whether i have legal grounds to sue her? and on what grounds?

thanx for any assistance and advice!
