Driving with No Insurance in Ontario

I was ticketed with not having any insurance in Ontario and I know that the minimum fine is 5000$ but I cannot afford it. Is there anything I can do about it. And I am a michigan resident can they suspend my liscence

You may want to never go to Canada again.

I do not know of any law allowing a foreign country being able to affect a US citizen's license.
