Division of Severance Package

My question involves divorce in the State of: Washington
I just have a quick question. My husband and I are getting divorced and he is about to get out of the military and will recieve a severance package. Am I entitled to 50% since this is a community property State?

There does not seem to be a fixed rule regarding severance pay - military or otherwise.

Severance is treated on a case by case basis - while it is often treated as earned during the course of the marriage and thus community property, I've seen several instances where it has been determined to belong entirely to the person who received the severance.
