Driving with Marijuana in the Car

My buddies and I were just driving to the local quicky mart to get some food. Turns out I get pulled over. The cop started BSing with us then asked for my licensce, it was only my junior licensce since I am only 16 but it was after 11. The cop for no reason asked to search the car. So I said yes. He pulled me out of the car search my friends and I and found about 1 gram of pot, a pipe and lighters. I was also driving under the influence. I am gonna have to go to court and I was wondering what kind of sentence I will get. I am a good kid with a job and get decent grades and have never been in trouble with the law before., I just screwed up this one time.

Since you're 16, and charged with just simple possession and DUI, I am assuming you're not being charged as an adult. If it's any consolation, if you're going to have one arrest in your life, having it before 18 is much better in terms of your future, for so many reasons.

Juvenile court is quite different from adult court. Contact a lawyer experienced in juvenile law. Most legal information is for adult proceedings and much of it will not apply to your case.
