    Default Texas Probation Skipped

My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: Tx

Hi, I have a few Questions on my legal situation. I am on probation (differed adjudication) for Credit Card Abuse (6 years) in the county of Williamson. When sentenced i did not have a job or any income, i was living with some friends that were supporting me, with the overhead of probation i felt a lot of depression and caused me to not be motivated and hindered me from getting a job or a automobile. After not paying my monthly fees for a while they called me in for a hearing, after talking with my officers they told me that they were going to schedule a hearing for me in front of the judge to decide what to do unless i had a job and made some payments with in the next month. Well i busted ass and got a job that month and worked when out of no where i get fired.

Scared to death about what they told me i couldn't simply tell them, oh i got a job then got fired right before the judge. I got scared thinking i was going to jail and bailed on my probation. After that i moved out of that house into another, got a job, and a car, and am being productive. With out thinking about probation i have been really productive I know there is a warrant out for me and i am ducking it. Its been a year a half and i need to think about what to do.

    1. Whats the possibility of imprisonment for my whole term?

    2. Is there a way to avoid jail, just pay them there money, get a lawyer and reason with them?

    3. My Id is about to expire and i need another, can i go to another state to just obtain one with no worries?

    Thank you for your time.

If you know there is a warrant. You need to self surrender that is the best thing you can do. But try and obtain an attorney first. As for predicting what the judge will do we can not do that. As we can not predict the future.

Obviously, i did not post here to get an answer a blind man can see, i came here seeking experience from people that know something about the in and out of law proceedings. If all i am going to get is a magic 8ball answer i feel sorry for anyone else on this board that is trying to get help.

    Sorry.

Since courts of law are populated by people, there are too many variables to give you a "this is what is going to happen" answer.

Luckily, you didn't pay much for the answer.

It was, however, accurate. The best thing you can do is to get an attorney and turn yourself in. Jail may be in your future.
